LEAGUE REVIEW:

Doc Shakib broke the Lord Dilks and Mr Smith dominance of the early tournaments by a narrow one-point margin. Part of this incredible fete was down to the inclusion of Virtua Racing in the new draw system, which was implimented for the first time at this Championship. The title was non decided until the final game when Lord Dilks was able to beat rival, Mr Smith, 3-2 on NHLPA Hockey '93 (another debutant game) a result that caused Mr Smith to slip into third place for the only time in his tournament career. Lord Dilks finished in second with twenty-two points, however, his chance of winning the league ended following a defeat to Doc Shakib, on Virtua Racing, four games prior to the final fixture. Doc Shakib is, as of the Fifteenth Tournament, the only tournament member outside Lord Dilks and Mr Smith to ever win the Mega Drive Championships. Baron Von Hooton finished a distant fourth, sixteen points behind third placed Mr Smith.

CHANGES FROM THE SIXTH TOURNAMENT:

• A draw system was implimented in order to add variety to the games played. Four games were drawn randomly from a pool of seven.
