LEAGUE REVIEW:

Positioning for the Twelfth Tournament was not decided until the final game. Neither Lord Dilks or Mr Smith had played particularly convincingly, both conceding soppy goals and losing relatively easy games. It was Mr Smith who won the competition after claiming a narrow 1-0 victory against Baron Von Hooton on Golden Axe 2 in the final game. Previously, Mr Smith had struggled to beat Baron Von Hooton on World Cup Italia '90 with the result 7-6, the decisive goal scored in the final moments as well as a hammering on Road Rash 2 against Doc Shakib. Mr Smith's win in the final game pushed Lord Dilks into second spot, although he had only lost to Mr Smith on Sonic the Hedgehog 2, he had drawn too many games and top spot eluded him by two points. Baron Von Hooton had held third spot for the majority of the tournament, however, defeat to Doc Shakib on Golden Axe 2, in their penultimate game, had caused the two to swap places with Baron Von Hooton unlucky to finish in last place and Doc Shakib in third.
