When preparing for the Fourteenth Tournament Sonic 3 was tested for the league, however, the flat-out race was considered vastly inferior to Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and so the idea of it participating in either division was rapidly dropped. The concept of this game was quite different to most of the other tournament games and so it was added as a Knockout Only title. Mr Smith is ranked as the best player, however, not enough games have been played to truly substantiate this.
