Dário Pelixo become the latest name on the list of men who have won the Portuguese Mega Drive Tournaments - conviningly overcoming the awesome Alberto Campos in the Street Fighter 2: Championship Edition final. For the rest of the competition, Dário teetered upon the brink of elimination. After finishing third in Stage One he was forced to beat Ricardo Faria and Francisco Espandinha to qualify to Stage Two and, once there, finished level on points with Fátima Campos and needed to beat her on Ms. Pac-Man in order to reach the semi-finals.
