Despite NBA Jam being a well liked game, the high-scoring nature of basketball makes it impossible to include in the league. It did, however, make an appearance in the original Division Two at the Ninth Tournament, but with the players in that particular league scoring an average of over one-hundred goals, in just eight games, it was decided it would not continue as a Division Two game at the Fourteenth Mega Drive Championship.
