Team England are rapidly becoming the Mega Drive whipping boys of Europe. Not content with losing badly to Ireland in the Anglo-Irish Tournament in 2007, Team England lowered the bar further at the European Mega Drive Championship where they finished a very distant thrid behind both Germany and Portugal. Winning just four of their home games and one away game and, taking just eleven points from a possible forty-two, England prop up the table for the second successive International Mega Drive Championship. The English can, however, take pride at being the best dressed nation at the competition, each member wore a personalized t-shirt and a red poppy. Their best performance came when Lord Dilks crushed the challenge of Alberto Campos in a 6-1 game of Pete Sampras Tennis.
