Super Street Fighter 2 must be ranked as one of the best games in the tournament. In this head-to-head fighter members put their reflexes to the test as they engage in heavy duty combat. For a game that inspired both the Tournament Knockout and the Challenge, Super Street Fighter 2 was completely overlooked when the league was set-up. By the Fourth Tournament attempts were being made to rectify the original oversight. The biggest problem was that by adding a new game the number of fixtures would increase to a ridiculous amount. Suggestions to replace either Golden Axe 2 or World Cup Italia '90 with Super Street Fighter 2 never materialised and it was only when a draw system was added, at the Seventh Mega Drive Championship, that Super Street Fighter 2 became a tournament game. Lord Dilks is ranked as the best player on Super Street Fighter 2. Commander Graham and Doc Shakib show promise on this game, however, neither has managed to add a plethora of special moves into their fighting style.
