NINETEENTH TOURNAMENT REVIEW

Earl Holbrook once again maintained his place in Division One, at the expense of Professor King. In spite of finishing three-points clear of the bottom spot in Division One, Earl Holbrook had held that position for the majority of the competition and it was only a dramatic improvement in form during the final quarter that pulled him to safety. His Division One status secured for another tournament when he defeated his relegation rival, Professor King, in a deliciously tight game of Streets of Rage 3. The Tournament Knockout was a brief affair for Earl Holbrook who was beaten by Commander Graham in Round 2, on Mortal Kombat, after Earl Holbrook's one game advantage was reversed.

TOURNAMENT HISTORY

Once affectionately dubbed "Sunday driver" following an unsporting display against Old Spice Lock, on Road Rash 3, in the Sixteenth Mega Drive Championship, the nickname "Cookie Monster" has since become more prevalent, owing to Earl Holbrook's love for the buffet biscuits, which he will frequently horde from the other members. Earl Holbrook secured his place in the top league following victory in Division Two at the Seventeenth Tournament. Promoted by the narrow margin of goal difference and he has since managed to retain his place in the First Division for two tournaments. Although some would argue that Earl Holbrook's experience is now paying dividends showing his ascent from lower Division Two to Division One, Earl Holbrook himself confessed at the Seventeenth Tournament Knockout final; "I don't know what I'm doing... I'm just pressing buttons".
