In just two tournaments Lord Dilks had established himself as the dominant player on Pete Sampras Tennis. Doc Shakib had adapted quite well to the new tournament game and was ranked as the second best player. In the previous championship, Doc Shakib had lost to Lord Dilks, on Pete Sampras Tennis, 6-3. Now there was an incentive to win and the fight kicked-off at a furious pace as both men battled desperately for the three points that would guarantee second place. Neither Doc Shakib nor Lord Dilks were able to break away from their opponent and the game was locked in perpetual deadlock, until the score stood at 6-6. This has been the only time a tiebreak has been required to separate two competitors on Pete Sampras Tennis and before the game continued coffees were handed around to steady the nerves. For a while the tiebreak continued in the same manner as the previous set - neither man was able to get a grasp of the fixture, as first one threatened to scrape ahead followed by the other. In the end it was Lord Dilks who found the higher gear and was able to edge himself to victory. The 7-6 win sneaked him into second place and kept his undefeated status, on Pete Sampras Tennis, in tact.
